Global Shortcuts

These work from anywhere in Muin.

Viewing Current Shortcuts

Press Cmd/Ctrl + / anywhere
Or go to Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts

Changing Shortcuts

Customize shortcuts to your preference:

Go to Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts
Click on any shortcut
Press your desired key combination
Click Save

Resetting to Defaults

Go to Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts
Click Reset to Defaults
Confirm reset

Shortcut Conflicts

Browser Shortcuts

Some shortcuts may conflict with browser shortcuts. Muin shortcuts take precedence when the app is focused.

Common conflicts:

Cmd/Ctrl + K - Usually opens browser location bar, Muin overrides
Cmd/Ctrl + / - May be used by browser

OS Shortcuts

Operating system shortcuts generally take precedence:

Cmd/Ctrl + Q - Quit application
Cmd/Ctrl + W - Close tab
Cmd/Ctrl + Tab - Switch tabs

Accessibility

Muin supports keyboard navigation for accessibility:

Full keyboard navigation without mouse
ARIA labels for screen readers
Focus indicators for visual tracking
Skip links for quick navigation

Focus Management

Tab moves through interactive elements
Shift + Tab moves backwards
Enter or Space activates buttons
Arrow keys navigate within components
