Platform Capability

Muin doesn't just store your data. It understands it.

Every document, payment, email, and activity is parsed into a searchable memory, watched for significant events, and surfaced as AI-generated notes, narratives, sentiment, and risk signals — on every person, organization, and location.

Two layers of understanding

Memory makes your data searchable. Activity Intelligence makes it proactive.

Layer 1 — Memory

Every document, field, email, and activity indexed and embedded.

Structured fields from extraction, plus unstructured conversation and documents, all embedded with pgvector (1024-dim BGE-M3). Search in plain language; chat across everything your org has ever captured.

Layer 2 — Activity Intelligence

Eleven-plus triggers write the timeline automatically.

Auto-notes on first invoice, payment overdue, sentiment drop, donor lapse, case opened, contract renewed, insurance expiry, entity merged, health decline — plus narrative generation, sentiment tracking, risk scoring, daily digest, and doc-to-action suggestions. All continuous, not on-demand.

Eight capabilities, always on

Continuous intelligence — not something you invoke, something that runs while you work.

Semantic memory

Every document, extracted field, email thread, and activity entry is embedded via pgvector. Natural-language search finds the right record across every channel.

Auto-note triggers

Eleven-plus event types auto-write timeline entries: first invoice, payment overdue, sentiment drop, donor lapse, case opened, contract renewed, insurance expiry, entity merged, entity auto-created, health decline, document processed. Every note carries an "AI Generated" badge.

Narrative generator

Plain-language summaries auto-written on board packages, impact reports, grant narratives, and custom reports — drawn from live data and verified against the source records.

Sentiment tracker

Communication sentiment monitored across email, chat, and inbox. Negative-sentiment spikes automatically trigger an activity note so the right person sees it before the relationship cools.

Risk scorer

Entity health scoring for donors, grantees, customers, and vendors. Late payments, declining activity, and missed touchpoints combine into a single score that surfaces at-risk relationships early.

Daily digest

Every morning, a curated summary of what changed overnight — new documents, new activities, flagged risks, pending actions — delivered by email and in-app. The briefing version of your inbox.

Doc-to-action

Extracted documents auto-suggest next actions: approve invoice, flag anomaly, assign approver, escalate to compliance. One-click accept; full override available; all provenance logged.

Relationship graph

Inferred relationships between Persons and Organizations — reports-to, employed-by, related-family, board-member-of — built from extracted data and user-confirmed links. Drives better stewardship, better deduplication, and better board-packet generation.

Three scenarios where intelligence earns its keep

Donor lapse detection

A recurring gift stops. Muin writes an auto-note on the donor timeline — "Jane Smith hasn't donated in 120 days. Previous pattern: $100/mo. Last gift: [date]." A stewardship task is auto-created. No spreadsheet tracking.

Vendor risk flag

Three late payments plus negative communication sentiment drop the vendor risk score. An auto-note — "Acme Corp risk score declined" — posts to the vendor timeline and surfaces in the next daily digest. Finance sees it before the next invoice.

Executive daily digest

Every morning: "23 new documents processed, 4 activity notes generated, 1 risk flag on [org], 2 actions pending your approval." Email and in-app. The briefing version of overnight.

Why this matters

Other platforms store your data. Muin understands it — auto-notes, sentiment, and risk run continuously, not on demand.

Eleven-plus trigger types means the timeline writes itself. Staff reviews, not types.

Semantic memory plus activity intelligence in one layer — ask "show me all donors who lapsed after negative sentiment" and get a single answer, not a three-query workflow.

Frequently asked questions
