Do I need to be a Muin customer to become an affiliate?

No! Anyone can apply to become an affiliate. You don't need to be a Muin customer. However, existing customers can participate in both the referral program (for credits) and the affiliate program (for cash) simultaneously.

How much do affiliates earn?

Affiliates earn 10% of each referred customer's base subscription list price as a cash commission, paid monthly for 12 months. Your referrals also get 10% off their base subscription for their first year. For example, referring a Growth plan customer ($349/mo) earns you $34.90/mo for 12 months = $418.80 total.

When and how do I get paid?

Commissions have a 30-day hold period after the referred customer's first payment. After the hold clears, payouts are processed on the 15th of each month via ACH, PayPal, or wire transfer. $50 minimum for ACH/PayPal; $100 minimum for wire transfer.

Are there any limits on referrals?

No limits! Unlike the customer referral program (capped at 7), affiliates can refer unlimited customers. The more you refer, the more you earn.

Affiliate commissions are taxable income. US affiliates must submit a W-9 before their first payout, and we issue a 1099-NEC if you earn $2,000+ in a year (per the IRS threshold effective 2024). International affiliates submit a W-8BEN.

How long does approval take?

Most applications are reviewed within 1-2 business days. Once approved, you'll receive your unique referral code and access to the affiliate portal.
