Install Muin Go and sign in
Download Muin Go from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with email, Google or Apple, set a PIN, and switch between organizations.
This guide gets Muin Go onto your phone and signs you in to your organization.
When you’d use this
- You were invited to your organization and want to use Muin Go on your phone.
- You got a new phone and need to sign in again.
- You belong to more than one organization and need to switch between them.
- The app asks you to update before you can keep going.
What you need
| iPhone and iPad | Android | |
|---|---|---|
| Store | Muin Go on the App Store | Muin Go on Google Play |
| System | iOS 16.4 or later | Android 9 or later |
| Device | iPhone XS or later. Every feature except Tap to Pay also works on iPad. | Any phone or tablet. Tap to Pay and card-tap check-in need NFC. |
You also need a Muin account. Muin Go does not create organizations inside the app: an administrator invites you on the web, or you create a new organization from the Create an account link on the sign-in screen.
Install the app
- Open the App Store or Google Play on your phone.
- Search for Muin Go, or use the store link above.
- Tap Get (iPhone) or Install (Android).
- Open Muin Go.
- On the sign-in screen, choose one way to sign in:
- Enter your Email and Password, then tap Sign In.
- Tap Continue with Google.
- On iPhone and iPad, tap Sign in with Apple.
- If your account uses two-factor authentication, enter the code from your authenticator app. If you lost your device, use a backup code.
- If you belong to more than one organization, the Select Organization screen appears. Tap the one you want.
- Create a security PIN when asked. You can also turn on Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint unlock so you do not type the PIN each time.
Use the same email you were invited with. If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, Apple gives Muin a private relay address that does not match your invitation. Sign in with your own email instead, or turn off Hide My Email for Muin and try again.
Forgot your password? Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and follow the email link.
Switch organization
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Under Organization, tap Switch Organization.
- Pick the organization you want.
The row only appears if you belong to more than one organization. The organization’s currency, locale and timezone show in the same section. They come from your organization settings on the web, and times in the app are shown in your organization’s timezone.
Keep the app up to date
Small fixes can arrive automatically the next time you open the app. When a store update is needed, Muin Go tells you:
- Update Recommended: you can tap Not Now and keep working, but some screens may not work until you update.
- Update Required: tap Update Now. The app opens the App Store or Google Play.
Lock, sign out and delete your account
- Lock: after the auto-lock time you set in Settings → Account, the app asks for your PIN or biometrics.
- Sign out: Settings → Sign Out.
- Shared phone or tablet: each person signs out when done, and the next person signs in with their own account. Everyone keeps their own PIN, so when you sign back in on the same device, your PIN still works.
- Delete your account: Settings → Account, then use the delete account section at the bottom of the screen.
What it affects
Signing in on the phone uses the same account and the same permissions as the web. Signing in on a new phone does not sign you out on the web. To see or sign out other devices, open Settings → Account → Manage signed-in devices.
When it goes wrong
- “Login failed. Please check your credentials.” Check that the email and password work on the web first. If you normally use Google or Apple, use that button instead of the password.
- “No organizations yet” after signing in. Your account exists but no organization has added you. Ask your administrator to send or resend your invitation, then tap Check again.
- “Too many attempts. Please wait.” on the lock screen. Wait a moment and try your PIN again, or tap Sign in with a different account to sign in fresh.
- Apple sign-in asks you to sign in to iCloud. Sign in to iCloud in your device Settings, then try again.
Next step
Take your first payment on the phone, or open Help on Muin Go if you get stuck.
