Module-Aware Tools
Not every tool is available to every user. Muin Chat automatically adjusts its capabilities based on the modules included in your subscription.
How it works:
- Platform tools (Calendar, Approvals & Inbox, Help & Web Research) are always available regardless of your plan.
- Module-specific tools appear only when the corresponding module is active for your organization.
- If you ask a question that requires a module you don’t have, Muin will let you know which module is needed and how to enable it.
| Module | Tools Unlocked |
|---|---|
documents | Document Search, Get Document, Summarize Document, Document Merge, Document Review, Document Create, Document Create Version |
finance | Invoice Lookup, Expense Submit, List Pending Invoices, Check Payment Status, Create Payment Request |
vendors | Vendor Search, Contract Search |
hr | Unified Certifications, Certification Summary, Expiring Certifications |
communications | Send Message, Get Conversations, Check Unread |
support | Search Tickets, Ticket Status, Create Ticket, Support Dashboard |
This means the chat experience grows with your subscription. Start with platform tools and unlock more capabilities as you add modules.
Combining Tools in Conversation
One of the strengths of Muin Chat is that tools work together within a single conversation. You can chain operations naturally:
- Search then summarize — “Find the Acme Corp contract” followed by “Summarize it”
- Review then create — “Compare these two proposals” followed by “Draft a memo with the key differences”
- Lookup then act — “Show me pending invoices” followed by “Submit the Acme one for approval”
Muin maintains context across messages, so each follow-up question builds on the previous answer.
