Confirm Contract Terms
Check the prices Muin read off a contract document and confirm them, so bills from that vendor are checked against the contract.
Muin reads the prices, volume tiers, rebates and payment terms off a contract document. Nothing uses those terms until a person confirms them.
When you’d use this
- You imported contracts and want their prices to check your bills.
- A contract document was read again and its terms need a check before they are confirmed.
Terms to confirm needs Muin for Spend.
Find it
Go to Muin for Spend > Contracts > Terms to confirm.
The page lists each contract with terms waiting for a person. For each one it shows:
- Priced items: how many priced rows were read.
- Read: the share of priced rows Muin read cleanly.
- Read on: when the document was read.
What “Read” means
- Read is the share of priced rows that came through complete and valid.
- It is a count of rows, not a guess by the AI.
- A value under 80% shows as a warning.
- To see only those, set the filter to Partly read.
- Unknown means Muin found no priced rows to count.
Confirm the terms
- Click Review and confirm on a contract.
- The contract opens at Priced terms.
- Check each item, unit, unit price and tier against the signed contract.
- Check the rebate and payment terms.
- Click Confirm terms.
The section then reads “Confirmed” with the date. The confirmation is recorded in the audit log with your name.
What confirming changes
- Bills from this vendor are now checked against these prices.
- A bill line priced above the contract, past your match tolerance, is held. See Bills held above the contract price.
- A line is checked when its description names a priced item. A contract does not need to price everything the vendor sells.
- When a quantity reaches a tier, the tier price applies.
- Clicking Re-read terms on a confirmed contract keeps the confirmed terms and saves nothing. Bills it holds stay held.
- Muin then shows what the document now reads, under “The document now reads:”. To use those prices, click Review and apply, check them and confirm them.
If a price is wrong
- Do not confirm it.
- Unconfirmed terms never hold a bill.
- Unconfirmed terms never raise a Money Back Scan finding.
When it goes wrong
- “No terms are waiting to be confirmed.”: every read contract is confirmed, or none has been read yet.
- “The terms could not be confirmed.”: the save failed. Try again.
- “Part of Muin for Spend”: your organization does not have Muin for Spend.
