Managing Modules
Enable, disable, and configure Muin business modules — Finance, HR, Compliance, and Nonprofit — with each plan tier setting how many run at once.
Modules are specialized business areas that add intelligent, industry-specific functionality on top of Muin’s core platform. Each module comes with its own AI agents, automated workflows, and smart integrations tailored for that business area—giving you purpose-built intelligence, not just generic tools. Your subscription tier determines how many modules you can have active at once.
Available Modules
Muin offers four business modules, with more coming soon:
| Module | Description | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Finance | Invoice processing, expense tracking, budgets, cash flow analysis | Available |
| HR | Policy management, certifications, onboarding, compliance tracking | Available |
| Compliance | Policy management, regulatory tracking, gap analysis | Available |
| Non-Profits | Grant management, donor tracking, volunteer coordination | Available |

Enabling Modules
During Onboarding
When you first set up Muin, you’ll be asked to select which modules to enable:
- Review the available modules
- Select the modules most important to your business
- You can change this later in Settings
The system will prevent you from selecting more modules than your plan allows. If you reach your limit, you’ll see a message to upgrade for more modules.
From Settings
To change your enabled modules after onboarding:
- Go to Settings → Modules
- View your currently enabled modules
- Toggle modules on or off
- Changes take effect immediately
Note: If you’re at your module limit, you’ll need to disable one module before enabling another, or upgrade your plan.
Module Limit Warnings
When you’re approaching or at your module limit:
- A warning banner shows how many modules you have selected
- Modules you can’t enable appear grayed out
- An “Upgrade” link takes you to billing to increase your limit
What Happens When You Disable a Module
When you disable a module:
- The module’s menu items are hidden from navigation
- Existing data is preserved (not deleted)
- You can re-enable the module anytime to regain access
- API endpoints for that module return an error
Upgrading for More Modules
If you need more modules than your plan allows:
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select a plan with more module capacity
- Changes apply immediately
