Set Up a Paid Form
Use Forms and Events to take payments on a form: run setup, check the drafted form, connect payments, publish, put it on your website, and go live. Includes pricing and FAQ.
Forms and Events is one product: forms that take payments, and events people RSVP to or buy tickets for. This page covers the paid form. For events, see Publish an event with tickets.
Watch it done: a short walkthrough video of setting it up on the Product Home.
What it costs
| Tier | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 form | $0 |
| Paid | Unlimited forms, events included | $19 a month |
Every Product starts with a 30-day trial of the paid tier, with no card.
Step 1: Open Forms and Events
In Muin, open Products in the menu, then Forms and Events. If you have not added it yet, open Explore products and start the trial. The Product Home has the setup checklist, Run setup, Install on your website and Go live. The first time you open it, the home says what the product is for and shows three numbered steps with a first action: Create your first form, Add an event, and putting it on your website.
Step 2: Press Run setup
Muin works out what kind of organization you are from your profile, then your website, then your industry, and drafts a paid form that fits:
| Kind of organization | Drafted form | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| Professional services | New client intake | $50 consultation fee |
| Salon, spa or fitness studio | Appointment deposit | $25 deposit |
| School or tutoring | Class registration | $75 registration fee |
| Nonprofit | Program application | $15 application fee |
| Mosque, church or other congregation | Weekend school registration | $40 term fee |
| Venue | Booking inquiry | $100 date hold deposit |
When nothing matches, you get the new client intake form. The form asks for the payer’s name, email and phone, a few questions for your kind of organization, and the payment. It sends a confirmation email and shows a thank-you message.
The form is a draft. Nobody can see it until you publish it. If you already have a form that takes a payment, setup leaves it alone and drafts nothing.
On the free tier, a drafted form counts as your 1 form.
Step 3: Connect payments
Payers pay into your own Stripe account. Open the You can take payments item and connect Stripe. A form that takes a payment cannot be published until Stripe is connected.
Step 4: Check the form and publish it
Open the A paid form is published item. Change the price, the questions and the thank-you message to your own, then publish.
Step 5: Put it on your website
Under Install on your website, copy the form snippet and paste it on a page of your site. It shows the form inside your page, payment included. If you have several published paid forms, pick the one you want first.
On WordPress, use the Muin plugin: connect Forms and Events, enter the form’s address name (the part after /form/ in its link) in Settings > Muin, and add the Muin Form block, or the shortcode [muin-form].
When someone opens your form on your website, the checklist shows Seen on your website. Sharing the form’s link works without it.
Step 6: Go live
Press Go live. Muin checks three things first: you can take payments, a paid form is published, and payers get a confirmation (the confirmation email is on and the form has a thank-you message). If one is missing, you stay in setup and see which one and where to fix it.
Muin never charges a test payment for you. To try it, open your published form and pay it yourself. The Your form has received a submission item turns done.
What the public sees
Your starter forms show a Security check (a CAPTCHA) before they can be sent, so automated spam does not reach you.
What you see after you go live
- This month: submissions, payments collected through your forms and tickets, and RSVPs and tickets. Each number opens the list behind it.
- Usage: how many forms you have against your tier.
- Value: every submission that arrives by itself counts as time saved, because nobody typed it in.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take a payment on any form?
Yes. Any form can have a payment field. Forms and Events adds the setup, the install snippets and the Product Home around it.
Why can’t I publish my form?
A form that takes a payment needs Stripe connected first. Connect it in Settings > Payments, then publish.
Does Muin charge a test payment?
No. Muin never charges anything on your behalf. Open your published form and pay it yourself to see what a payer sees.
What happens on the free tier?
You can have 1 form. Creating a second form asks you to move to the paid tier. Events, RSVPs and ticket sales are part of the paid tier.
