Your Product Home

Set up a Muin product, connect your website or the Muin WordPress plugin, take it live and track it from one page: the Support Agent, Online Giving, Space Rentals, Grant Finder + Tracker, Document Capture, Forms and Events and the Compliance Calendar.

Each Muin product you use has one page, its Product Home. Open it from Products in the menu. Owners and admins see it.

Explore products

Explore products (/products) lists every Product you can add. Owners and admins see it. Each card shows where you stand with that Product:

  • Owned: you have it.
  • Included in your plan: your plan already gives it to you.
  • In trial (N days left): your trial is running.
  • Free: you are on its free tier.

Every card also has a Setup guide link to that Product’s help page.

To add a Product, press Start 30-day trial (no card needed) or Buy this product. See Explore products for free tiers and prices.

The Product Home buttons

The top of a Product Home has Settings, Run setup and Go live. Settings opens that product’s own settings: for example Forms settings for Forms and Events, Email forwarding for Document Capture, and your service area and profile for Grant Finder + Tracker. A product with nothing to set has no Settings button. A Product you do not have yet shows Add with its name, and the same Start 30-day trial and Buy this product buttons. A running trial shows its days left in the trial badge.

Setup

The checklist lists what the product needs before it goes live. Each item that is not done has a Fix link to the screen where you finish it.

While setup is unfinished, the checklist sits above the rest of the product. Once every check is done (100%), it shrinks out of the way; press Show setup checks to open it again.

Run setup does the parts Muin can do for you, such as turning on the product’s assistants. It shows each step it took, the ones it skipped and why, and any that failed and why. You can run it again; it never repeats work that is already done.

Go live

Press Go live when the checklist is complete. If anything is still missing, nothing changes and the page lists every missing item with its Fix link. The first time a product goes live, the person who pressed the button gets a confirmation email. A live product shows Live since and the date.

Some items are marked Optional, not needed to go live. For Online Giving, “Donate button seen on your website” turns to Seen once a Donate button loads on your own website. Organizations that only share a giving link or QR code can go live without it.

Install on your website

Install on your website gives you the code to paste into your site, with steps for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and GoDaddy. Once the product is live, this section folds away behind an Install button; press it to see the code again.

Using WordPress? Install the Muin WordPress plugin, then on the Product Home choose Create a connect code and paste the code into the plugin’s settings. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes. Your connected sites are listed with their plugin version and when they were last seen. Disconnect stops a site showing the product right away.

Usage and value

  • Usage shows this month’s use against what your plan includes: conversations for the Support Agent, bookable spaces for Space Rentals, gifts received for Online Giving, tracked grants for Grant Finder + Tracker, documents read for Document Capture, forms for Forms and Events, and filing entities for the Compliance Calendar.
  • Value shows the time the product saved you this month. Open Value for the details.
