Syncing with QuickBooks

Connect QuickBooks Online and keep invoices, vendors, and expenses in sync — how the connection works, what syncs, and how to fix sync issues.

The QuickBooks integration (Settings → Integrations → QuickBooks) connects Muin to QuickBooks Online so your financial records stay aligned without manual re-entry.

Connecting

  1. Open the QuickBooks integration settings.
  2. Click Connect and sign in to QuickBooks Online through the secure Intuit authorization screen.
  3. Approve access — Muin stores the connection so it can sync on your behalf.

What Syncs

Once connected, supported records (such as invoices, vendors, and expenses) flow between Muin and QuickBooks so your books reflect activity in both systems.

Keeping the Connection Healthy

  • A QuickBooks connection can expire if Intuit revokes the token or your QuickBooks password changes — reconnect from the same settings page to restore it.
  • If records stop syncing, check the connection status first; re-authorizing fixes most token-expiry issues.

Tips

  • Connect early in your setup so historical entry doesn’t pile up.
  • Keep one source of truth for each record type to avoid duplicate edits on both sides.
