Fundraising Pages and Event Announcements
Create a personal peer-to-peer fundraising page under one of your campaigns, claim a page an admin set up for you, and draft an event announcement with AI.
A personal fundraising page lets one person raise money under your campaign, with their own goal and their own story. The guided announcement composer is the other half of getting the word out: it drafts the invite for an event and sends it across your channels.
When you’d use this
- You are running a walk or a Ramadan challenge and want each participant to have their own page.
- A board member wants to fundraise for you and asks for a link to share.
- An admin pre-created a page in your name and you need to take it over.
- You have published an event and want an invite drafted and sent without writing it from scratch.
My Fundraising Pages
Where it lives: Sidebar → Nonprofit → Fundraising → My Fundraising Pages. You need permission to view campaigns.
A personal page can only exist under a campaign of type peer-to-peer. If your organization has none, the New Page button is disabled and reads: “Your organization doesn’t have any peer-to-peer campaigns yet. An admin needs to create one before you can start a personal page.” Someone with campaign permissions creates that campaign first.
Creating your page
- Press New Page.
- Pick the P2P campaign.
- Set the URL slug: 3 to 80 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, such as
jane-runs-2026. This cannot be changed later, so choose it carefully. - Enter your Display name. This is required and is what donors see.
- Write Your story (optional, up to 4000 characters) and add a Cover image URL if you have one.
- Set your Personal goal if you have one.
- Press the submit button.
Editing an existing page adds a Status field: Active or Inactive. An inactive page is hidden from the public leaderboard and from the donor page.
Sharing it
Press Copy share URL on the row. That is the public page’s address, under your organization’s public site, and anyone can open it without an account. Gifts made there credit your personal goal and show on the campaign leaderboard.
Each row shows your display name, Active or Inactive, the campaign and slug, your personal goal, how much you have raised, how many donors, and a progress bar.
Claiming a page an admin set up for you
- Press Claim a page.
- Paste the public link into the box.
- Press Look up page.
- Press Claim this page.
Once claimed, the page is yours to edit and share.
Deleting a page
Deleting removes the public page and no new gifts will credit it. Gifts already attributed stay attributed to it.
Announcing an event with a guided draft
The Announce your event composer has no menu entry. It is a short-lived drafting session you reach from the event itself:
- Open the event’s Manage page.
- Find the Announce this
{event type}card. - Press Draft invite with AI. Muin drafts the announcement and opens the composer.
The session lasts 30 minutes and is refreshed each time you edit, so it stays open while you work. It belongs to you and your organization; nobody else can open it.
In the composer:
- If the event has both an RSVP and a volunteer signup, pick which announcement you are sending under Which announcement?
- Edit the subject, the preview text and the message.
- Build the recipient audience. The count updates live, and Find audience with AI will propose one.
- Pick the channels: email, SMS, WhatsApp. Turn on one message per person if you want to avoid sending the same person two channels.
- Add per-channel overrides if a channel needs different wording.
- For an invite-only RSVP, turn that option on. It needs a linked RSVP form and the
{{rsvp_link}}placeholder in the body. - Read the preview.
- Press Review & send, or Send announcement then Send now for an invite-only send.
Cancel returns you to the event editor.
Once sent, the composer shows Announcement sent with live delivery tracking.
What it affects
- Gifts through a personal fundraising page are stamped with that page, which is what drives your raised total, donor count and the campaign leaderboard.
- Making your page inactive hides it from the leaderboard and from donors, but keeps the gifts already credited.
- A sent announcement is saved as a broadcast in Communications, so you can see its delivery there afterwards.
- Turning on invite-only changes the RSVP form’s access so only invited people can register.
When it goes wrong
“Slug must be 3-80 chars, lowercase letters/numbers + hyphens.” Rewrite the slug without spaces, capitals or punctuation.
“Supporter page with slug ‘…’ already exists in this campaign.” Someone already took it. Pick another; the slug is permanent so there is no renaming later.
“Display name is required.” Donors need a name on the page.
“URL doesn’t look like a public fundraising page.” Paste the full public page link, not the campaign link or an admin URL.
“… belongs to a different organization.” The link is from another organization’s site. Get the link from your own admin.
“No fundraising page with slug ‘…’ found under this campaign.” The page was deleted or renamed. Ask your admin for the current link.
“This page is already claimed by another fundraiser.” Ask an admin to release it if it should be yours.
“This fundraising page was set up for X, so only they can claim it.” The page names a different person. Ask your admin to change the display name or create one for you.
“Couldn’t draft an announcement.” The message says it: the event has no RSVP or volunteer signup enabled, or the drafter is unavailable. Enable registration on the event and try again.
“This drafting session has expired.” Sessions last 30 minutes. Go back to the event and press Draft invite with AI again; nothing is lost but the draft text.
“Add the RSVP link.” Invite-only is on but the message body has no {{rsvp_link}} placeholder. Add it where you want the link to appear.
“The announcement could not be sent.” Nothing went out. Press send again; if it persists, check your channel setup in Communications.
