Muin Go Mobile App
Muin Go is a modular mobile app with 9 business modules: NFC tap-to-pay, in-kind donations, event check-in, expense capture, and field operations.
Muin Go is the modular mobile app (iOS and Android) that replaces separate field tools with one unified app. Your tenant login determines which of the 9 business modules are available. The Payments module turns your phone into a payment terminal, while other modules handle in-kind donations, event check-in, expense tracking, document capture, and more.

Offline Mode
How Offline Mode Works
When your device loses connectivity:
- The app switches to offline mode automatically
- A banner indicates offline status
- Work that does not need a live card connection is recorded locally
- When connectivity returns, that queued work syncs automatically
Card payments are the exception, and this is deliberate. Contactless card payments need a live connection to Stripe, so they are never queued — a queued card charge would be a promise the device cannot keep. Offline, a card payment is declined with a clear message rather than accepted and lost.
What queues and what does not
| Action | Offline behavior |
|---|---|
| Card / Tap-to-Pay payments | Not available offline — declined with an on-screen message, never queued |
| Refunds | Not available offline |
| Cash payments | Recorded locally, syncs on reconnect |
| Check capture | Recorded locally, syncs on reconnect |
| Quick-add donations | Recorded locally, syncs on reconnect |
| Event check-in (roster, QR scan, NFC tap) | Recorded locally with the real tap time, syncs on reconnect |
| Class time-clock punches | Recorded locally with the real punch time, syncs on reconnect |
| Expenses and in-kind intake | Recorded locally, syncs on reconnect |
| Invoice lookup | Only cached invoices available |
| Transaction history | Only locally stored transactions visible |
Offline Best Practices
- Ensure a full sync before going to an area with poor connectivity
- Do not plan on taking card payments where there is no signal — collect cash or a check instead, both of which record offline and sync later
- Monitor the pending-sync count and reconnect before the end of the day
Troubleshooting
NFC Not Working
- Verify NFC is enabled in phone settings
- Remove thick or metal phone cases
- Restart the Muin Go app
- Restart your phone
- Ensure iOS 16.4+ or Android 12+

Payment Declined
- Ask the customer to try a different card
- Check the decline reason in transaction details
- Ensure your Stripe connection is active
- Verify your account is in good standing
App Crashes
- Force close and reopen the app
- Check for app updates in the App Store / Play Store
- Restart your phone
- Reinstall the app if crashes persist
- Contact support with crash details
Sync Issues
