Compliance Alert Settings
Turn the scheduled compliance alerts on or off for your organization: policy acknowledgments, training, license renewals, incident SLAs and processing record reviews.
Alert settings lists the compliance alerts Muin sends on a schedule. Each alert has its own on/off switch for your whole organization.
Where to find it
- Open the Compliance module.
- In the Administration group, select Alert settings.
You need view access to Compliance frameworks and controls to open the page. Changing a switch needs manage access to the same area.
How the switches work
- Every alert is on until someone in your organization turns it off.
- A switch saves as soon as you flip it. There is no Save button.
- If the change cannot be saved, the switch goes back to its previous position and the page names the alert that failed.
- A switch applies to your whole organization, not only to you.
- Turning an alert off stops new alerts of that kind. Alerts already sent stay where they are.

Policy acknowledgment reminders
- The employee gets a reminder 3 days before the acknowledgment deadline.
- An overdue acknowledgment gets a reminder on the first overdue day.
- After that, an overdue reminder repeats every 7 days until the employee acknowledges.
Training reminders
- A reminder goes out when an assignment is due within 7 days.
- A reminder goes out when an assignment is overdue.
- An assignment overdue by 14 days or more is escalated to an admin once.
- Each assignment gets at most 3 reminders, at least 3 days apart.
License renewal reminders
- Alerts fire on the days before expiry set on each license.
- The responsible person is notified. If none is set, a tenant admin is notified.
- Each alert also adds a renewal task to My Work and a calendar event for the expiry.
Incident SLA alerts
- An alert fires when an open incident passes its SLA due date.
- The reporter and tenant admins are notified.
- An incident alerts at most once per month while it stays open.
Processing record review reminders
- An alert fires when a record of processing activity passes its next review date.
- Tenant owners and admins are notified.
