Report Catalog
Every stock report in Muin: the question each one answers (including which approvals are stuck waiting, and on whom), the metrics it shows, the filters it takes and the records it reads.
Eight reports ship ready to run. This page says what each one answers, so you open the right one instead of the nearest one.
When you’d use this
- You know the question but not which report answers it.
- A number looks wrong and you need to know what the report actually reads.
- You want to know which reports take a date range and which do not.
- You are deciding which report to schedule.
Opening any of them
Reports has no sidebar entry. Go to the hub at /reports and click the card. Every stock report shares the same chrome:
- Back to Reports returns to the hub.
- Export offers PDF, Excel and CSV.
- The print and refresh icons re-render and re-fetch.
- The footer reads “Last updated: … • Data refreshes every 5 minutes”.
The catalog

Sections: a summary, Spend Concentration (the top three vendors’ share of total spend), Top Vendors by Spend (#, Vendor, Amount, %, Invoices, Trend), Spend by Category, and a monthly trend with average monthly spend, average invoices per month and average active vendors. Sections: a summary, Aging Buckets (Age Bucket, Count, Amount, % of Total), the pending or overdue list (Invoice #, Vendor, Due Date, Days Overdue, Amount, Status, click a row to open the invoice), and Top Vendors by Overdue Amount. An alert fires for invoices more than 90 days overdue. Reads invoices and organizations.

Sections: a summary with budget progress, Over Budget Categories (Category, Budget, Actual, Over By, Status), Variance by Category (Category, Budget, Actual, Variance, % Used, Status), a monthly trend, and recommendations such as “Significant Budget Overrun” and “Multiple Categories Over Budget”. If the monthly trend is empty it says so: “Monthly trend requires budget history configuration.”
Compliance Check
Question: whose certifications have expired or are about to?

Sections: a summary, Expired - Immediate Action Required (Vendor, Type, Expired On, Days Overdue, with a Request Update action), the expiring list (Vendor, Type, Expires On, Days Left, Last Verified), Compliance by Vendor sorted by compliance rate (Vendor, Total Items, Compliant, Expiring, Expired, Compliance Rate), and recommendations. Badges: Critical, Warning, Attention, Normal. Reads invoices and their approval state.
Empty: “No pending approvals found”, which is the answer you want.
Entity Resolution Metrics
Question: is Muin linking mentions of people to the right records?
Route /reports/entity-resolution-metrics. “Pipeline accuracy, queue depth, and confidence distribution.” Tiles: total mentions, auto-linked, pending review, review accuracy (confirmed versus rejected) and average confidence. One table, Mentions by match method (Method, Mentions).
No export, no filters and no date range on this one: it reports the current state of the pipeline.
What they affect
- Nothing. Every report here is read-only.
- What moves them is the underlying records: approving an expense, paying an invoice, processing a document, re-verifying a vendor.
- Invoice Aging and Compliance Check are the two whose numbers change on their own as dates pass, even if nobody touches a record.
When it goes wrong
| What you see | What it means | How to clear it |
|---|---|---|
| “Unable to load report” with Try Again | The report’s data call failed. | Click Try Again. If it persists for one report only, that module’s service is down. |
| “Loading report data…” that never finishes | A large range is still being gathered. | Narrow the date range. |
| A report that is empty but you know the data exists | The date range, period, type or workflow filter excludes it. | Reset the filters, then narrow one at a time. |
| A compliance rate that looks too good | Unassessed items are not the same as compliant ones. | Read Total Items beside the rate. |
| Vendor Spend refusing a short range | It needs at least 30 days of period. | Widen the range. |
| “Monthly trend requires budget history configuration.” | There is no budget history to trend. | Configure budgets for earlier periods. |
