Unified Inbox

One inbox for everything that needs your decision: approvals, reviews, AI drafts, and heads-up alerts — with keyboard shortcuts, batch actions, and delegation.

The Inbox is where everything that needs your decision lands: workflow approvals, document reviews, AI-drafted content awaiting sign-off, and proactive heads-up alerts. Instead of chasing items across modules, you work them all in one place — then they flow back to wherever they came from.

The Four Tabs

Tab What’s there
Inbox Items waiting on you: approvals, reviews, tasks. New items first, earlier (read) items below, FYI alerts collapsible.
My Requests Items you sent to others — see where each one stands.
Overview A summary view of inbox activity.
Audit The decision trail: who approved or rejected what, and when.

The stat cards at the top show pending counts and double as filters — click one to narrow the list. You can also deep-link a filtered view (for example, /inbox?category=review).

Working Items

Expand an item to see its detail and act: Approve, Reject (with a reason), or Complete. AI-drafted items open a full preview panel showing the draft and its sources, so you can review before executing.

Keyboard shortcuts (Inbox tab): J/K move down/up, Space expands, A approves (with confirmation), R rejects, E marks read.

Batch actions: select multiple items with their checkboxes and act on all at once.

Heads-up alerts appear above the task list — proactive intelligence that doesn’t need a decision but deserves a look. They group under FYI once read.

Creating Tasks

New Task creates a task for yourself or a teammate directly from the inbox — no workflow required. It lands in their Inbox tab like any routed item.

Delegation

Going on leave, or want a category handled by someone else? Delegate opens your delegation rules: pick who covers for you and which categories they receive. Active delegations are listed in the same drawer, so coverage is always visible and reversible.

Where Items Come From

Inbox items are generated by workflows (approval steps route to the assigned approver), document processes, AI drafting, and teammates’ requests. If your inbox is unexpectedly quiet, check that the relevant workflows are active — and if an item should have reached you but didn’t, check the delegation rules of the person it went to.
