Data Vault Auto-Fill

The Data Vault stores your organization’s verified facts. Auto-fill is where that pays off: forms and assembled documents pull values straight from the vault, so your team stops retyping the EIN for the hundredth time — and stops getting it subtly wrong.

How It Works

When a form field or document template variable matches a vault key, Muin offers the stored value:

1. The field asks the vault for its best value — for example, organization EIN or registered address.
2. The vault returns the strongest match, preferring verified entries and respecting a confidence threshold for unverified ones.
3. You see the suggestion in place. Accept it, or override for this one document — your override doesn’t change the vault.

Where Auto-Fill Shows Up

• Document assembly — templates with organization variables (letterhead details, legal name, EIN, addresses) resolve them from the vault at generation time.
• Compliance questionnaires — recurring questionnaires can pre-fill answers from your stored organization facts, so annual paperwork starts mostly done.
• AI workflows — agents that prepare filings or paperwork draw on the same verified facts.

Why Verification Matters Here

Auto-fill prefers verified entries — values a person has confirmed against a source document. An unverified, low-confidence extraction won’t silently land in your grant application. That’s the deal the vault makes: review entries once at Settings → Data Vault, and everything downstream inherits the confidence.

Keeping Auto-Fill Sharp

• Verify pending entries weekly — unverified values may be held back from auto-fill.
• Update facts that change — new office address, renewed certification: edit the vault entry and every future fill uses the new value.
• Add the facts you reuse most — if your team keeps typing the same detail into documents, that’s a vault entry waiting to be created. Click Add Entry and stop retyping it.
