Business Memory
Muin remembers your organization's facts, decisions, and patterns — learned automatically from chats, documents, and workflows — to give the AI real context.
Most software forgets everything between sessions. Muin keeps a business memory: facts, decisions, outcomes, and patterns learned from your chats, documents, workflows, and agent runs. That memory is what lets the assistant answer “what’s our history with this vendor?” with your organization’s actual history.
Owners and admins can review and manage it at Intelligence → Memory.
What Gets Remembered
Each memory is a short, structured entry with two coordinates:
- Domain — where it came from: Chat, Document, Workflow, Agent, or User.
- Type — what kind of knowledge it is: a Fact (“Acme’s payment terms are net-45”), a Decision (“we approve IT purchases under $500 without quotes”), an Outcome, a Pattern (“this vendor’s invoices usually arrive late”), or a Relationship.
Memories link to the records they describe, so the same knowledge surfaces in context — on a vendor page, in a document sidebar, in chat answers.
Where Memories Come From
- Automatic extraction — as your team works, Muin extracts noteworthy facts from conversations, processed documents, workflow steps, and agent runs. These arrive marked Auto-extracted.
- Manual entry — click Add Memory to record something the platform should know (“Board meets first Tuesday of the month”). Manual entries are great for institutional knowledge that lives in people’s heads.
The Dashboard
- Summary cards show totals, detected patterns, how often memory was retrieved for context, and helpfulness votes.
- Filters narrow by domain, type, and verification status.
- Search finds entries by content.
- Each card supports verify / dispute toggles and delete.
Why Verification Matters
Auto-extracted memories are the AI’s best reading — usually right, occasionally not. The verification workflow keeps memory trustworthy:
- Verify entries that are correct — verified memories carry more weight in AI context.
- Dispute entries that are wrong or outdated — disputed memories are held back.
- Delete entries that should never have been captured.

Privacy and Access
Memory is scoped to your organization and managed by owner and admin roles. Nothing in your memory is shared across tenants.
