Card Payments

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Processing is handled through Stripe, so you get the reliability and fraud protection of one of the world’s most trusted payment processors. Rates start at 2.9% + $0.30, and Muin adds just a 0.5% platform fee — well below what most bundled solutions charge.

ACH Bank Transfers

For larger invoices and recurring payments, ACH transfers dramatically reduce processing costs. Through Stripe Financial Connections, customers can link their bank accounts and authorize payments directly. ACH processing costs just 0.8% with a $5 cap per transaction. For a $10,000 invoice, the ACH fee is just $5 (capped) plus Muin’s 0.5% ($50), totaling $55 — compared to roughly $340 you would pay with card processing.

NFC Tap-to-Pay

The Muin Go mobile app turns any NFC-enabled smartphone into a payment terminal. No card reader hardware required. Tap a card or phone to accept payment at events, pop-up shops, client meetings, or anywhere you do business. NFC transactions process at Stripe’s Tap to Pay rate of 2.6% + $0.10 — even lower than standard card-not-present rates.

Outbound Payments: Pay Vendors, Contractors, and Partners

Smart Payments is not just about collecting money. Paying out is equally important.

Stripe Connect Payouts

For marketplace models and businesses that need to split payments, Stripe Connect handles automated payouts to connected accounts. Commission splits, revenue sharing, and multi-party payments are all configurable within your workflow rules.

  • Donation Pages — Purpose-built for non-profits with suggested amounts, recurring giving options, tribute/memorial gifts, and fund designation. Create branded giving pages in minutes — for annual campaigns, emergency appeals, or recurring monthly donors. Each page reflects your organization’s brand and mission, and every gift flows directly into your donor management records without manual entry.
  • Membership Pages — Subscription management with tiered plans, annual/monthly toggles, and automatic renewal.

The Muin Go Mobile App

Muin Go deserves special attention. It is a dedicated mobile application for iOS and Android that brings your entire Muin workspace into the field.

  • NFC tap-to-pay for in-person transactions
  • Event kiosk mode with a simplified interface for fundraisers, galas, and trade shows
  • QR code payments — generate a code, customer scans, payment completes
  • Offline queue (planned) — accept payments even without connectivity, process when back online

The 0.5% Platform Fee Advantage

Most all-in-one business platforms charge between 1-3% on top of processor fees, or bundle processing at inflated rates. Muin charges a flat 0.5% platform fee on top of the actual processor cost. Here is what that looks like in practice:
