Agent Studio: Build an Agent From One Sentence
Describe an agent in one sentence, check what Muin drafted, try it on your last 30 days of records, see what it costs, and turn it on. Building credits are included in every plan.
Building your own agent in Muin now starts with one sentence. You say what the agent should do, Muin drafts it, and you check it before it does anything.
Describe it
Open Agents > My agents and click Create Custom Agent. The builder asks one question: What should this agent do? For example: “Receipts over $500 need an approval.”
Click Draft it. Muin drafts a name, the agent’s instructions, the tools it needs, a schedule and what each finding includes.
Check it
The review screen shows each part of the draft in plain words:
- Tools come in two groups: What it can look at, and What it can do (asks you first). The list is filtered to the tools you are allowed to use.
- Schedule is a choice such as Every day or Only when something happens.
- Model is how careful it is: Fast, Balanced or Smart. Fast is cheapest.
Want something different? Click Ask to change and say it in your own words. Muin shows the change before and after, and Undo last change puts it back.
Try it on last month
Try it runs the draft on your real records from the last 30 days and shows what it would have found. A change it would have made shows as “Would ask you first”. Nothing is saved and nothing changes.
See what it costs
What it costs shows the credits per run and about how many credits a month the agent will use on its schedule, as a share of what you have left. You can set a monthly limit on the agent, and it pauses when it reaches it.
Building uses AI too. Every plan includes building and testing credits each month, spent first and shown as “(included)”:
| Plan | Included building and testing credits a month |
|---|---|
| Free trial | 100 |
| Starter | 100 |
| Growth | 500 |
| Scale | 500 |
| Enterprise | 500 |
If you run out mid-build, the builder offers to add credits and keeps your draft. A credit pack gives its full credits, is priced by the days left in the month, expires at the end of the month, and is added to your regular invoice. See AI Credits.
You stay in charge
An agent you build follows the same rules as every agent in Muin:
- Every change it proposes to your records waits for your approval, unless a standing rule you set approves that kind of small routine change, and you can undo it.
- Always ask me when… lets you add more questions in plain words, such as “the amount is over $1,000”.
- A payment leaving your organization always needs a person to approve it.
- Only a person creates or changes a standing rule. An agent cannot.
Watch how it does
Each agent’s Overview tab shows hours saved, items caught, runs that finished, and how often you approved or rejected its findings. Agents > Agent health shows every agent you turned on, with the ones that need attention first. For an agent you built, Review real runs has a careful model check 5% of its finished runs against its instructions, charged as credits and off until you turn it on.
Start from a recommended agent
Not sure where to start? Agents > Agent library opens with a short row of starter agents for your kind of organization, such as Zakat Eligibility Check for a mosque or Tuition Arrears Follow-up for a school. Any library agent can also be the starting point: Customize a copy opens the builder with its tools and settings filled in.
