Use Muin Inside Claude
Connect Claude to your Muin organization and ask about donors, funds, the 990 and staff certifications in plain language. Claude answers from your live Muin records.
If you already work in Claude, you can now ask it about your organization and get answers from your live Muin records. You connect once, sign in to Muin, and approve the connection. After that, Claude can look up what you would otherwise open Muin to find.
Who this is for
- Finance staff at a nonprofit or mosque who answer the same questions every week.
- Operations and HR staff who track people, policies and deadlines.
- Executive directors and board treasurers who want a quick read before a meeting.
What you can ask
A few examples:
- “Which donors gave last year and have not given this year?”
- “Show our restricted fund balances. Is any fund overspent?”
- “How ready are we for this year’s Form 990?”
- “Draft a thank-you receipt for this contribution.”
- “Whose certifications expire in the next 60 days?”
- “What is waiting for my approval?”
Claude picks the right Muin tool for each question and answers from what Muin returns. Muin offers Claude tools across fundraising, funds, grants, the 990, documents, finance, HR and approvals, for the modules your organization has turned on.
What Claude can change
Almost every tool only reads. A few can change data, for example:
- recording a contribution;
- moving an approval or process to its next step.
Every tool that changes data is marked that way. When Claude asks for one, the change waits in your Muin Inbox and runs only after you approve it in Muin.
Who sees what
Claude sees what you can see in Muin, and nothing more. Access follows your Muin role, at the level of modules and features. A staff member with HR access only gets HR answers. You can end the connection at any time from Muin or from Claude.
How to connect today
Muin is not yet listed in Claude’s connector directory. Today you add Muin as a custom connector:
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
- Choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it “Muin” and paste this URL:
https://muin-api.falaah.ai/api/v1/mcp - Sign in to Muin when Claude asks, and approve the connection.
New to Muin? Choose Create an account on the Muin sign-in screen, create your organization, and you come back to approve the connection.
