International trade and complex domestic agreements introduce operational challenges that generic business software doesn’t address. Trade agreements have unique terms—Incoterms, letters of credit, customs documentation, tariff classifications—that require specialized tracking.

Muin for Trade is designed for SMBs involved in import/export, distribution, and complex B2B agreements. It’s currently in development, coming 2026.

What Muin for Trade Will Do

The Trade module will address three core areas:

  1. Agreement Management — Track trade agreements with their unique terms, obligations, and renewal schedules
  2. Counterparty Intelligence — Maintain profiles on trading partners with risk assessment and relationship history
  3. Operations Support — Document management for customs, shipping, and compliance documentation

Agreement Tracking

Trade agreements differ from standard contracts. They involve:

  • Incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.) that define responsibility and risk transfer points
  • Currency and payment terms including letters of credit and trade finance arrangements
  • Volume commitments with minimum order quantities and pricing tiers
  • Compliance requirements specific to countries and product categories
  • Renewal and renegotiation triggers based on volume, price changes, or time

Muin will track all of these elements and alert you to upcoming obligations, renewals, and compliance deadlines.

Counterparty Profiles

For each trading partner, maintain a comprehensive profile:

  • Relationship history — All agreements, transactions, and communications
  • Risk scoring — Financial stability, compliance history, delivery reliability
  • Document repository — Licenses, certifications, and regulatory approvals
  • Contact management — Key contacts with roles and authority levels

Coming 2026

The Trade module is currently in development. During the beta period, you can track trade-related documents using the existing document intelligence capabilities. The dedicated Trade module will add structured agreement tracking, counterparty management, and trade-specific workflows.
